Sin City Brewing Co. will open its second Las Vegas location inside the Flamingo Las Vegas late March 2009.

The Las Vegas-based microbrewery’s new outpost at the Flamingo offers a full-bar experience while featuring all four of Sin City’s custom brews on tap. The bar, located near the hotel’s guest entrance and valet, lives up to the brand’s vivacious image by touting multiple plasma screen televisions, etched red metal surfaces, vibrant Sin City Brewing Co. logo merchandise and a patio adjacent to the 15-acre pool and wildlife complex.

“The Flamingo has one of the most incredible pools in Las Vegas and Sin City Brewing Co. has a prime location overlooking the area,” said Don Marrandino. “The killer view from the patio matched with locally brewed beers makes Sin City a great place to unwind with a pint.”

The outdoor patio complete with tables and umbrellas will offer visitors the opportunity to soak in the desert sun while keeping cool with one of the brand’s four ice-cold creations. The Flamingo Las Vegas location will also offer the popular Sin City Brewing Co. retail line for both men and women, including t-shirts, bowling shirts, hats, yoga pants, hooded sweatshirts, thongs, camisoles and glassware.

“We’re delighted to bring our only-in-Las Vegas style of fun and beer to The Flamingo,” said Richard Johnson, president of Sin City Brewing Co. “The opportunity to enjoy ice-cold Sin City beer in the bar or outside on the patio will be a unique experience for Flamingo guests.”

Sin City Brewing Co. has created four distinct beers, Sin City Amber, Sin City Light, Sin City Stout and Sin City Weisse. The beers are produced in small batches using traditional methods and premium raw materials to satisfy traditional consumers and microbrew fans alike. Johnson, the man behind the concept, has been brewing beer professionally for more than 20 years.

Well, when we’re wrong, we’re wrong. For all our speculating that Lindsay Lohan wouldn’t show up to Samantha Ronson’s DJ appearance at Prive inside Planet Hollywood Resort last night, she turned up after all. She drove into town to surprise Ronson, getting there about an hour after the DJ had started her set and hung out around the booth. At 3:15 a.m., Ronson was getting her car from valet without Lohan with a “visably upset” Lindsay going to valet minutes later, taking off after the DJ.

There’s also been some speculation over a third woman hanging around the booth. At this point you could tell us that the third woman was a paid actress hired to manufacture yet another disturbance in the relationship, and we wouldn’t be surprised.

Romance was in the air Saturday night at LAVO inside The Palazzo as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and her rocker boyfriend rang in St. Valentine’s Day while a new celebrity couple may have been uncovered.

Playing hostess for the night was Jessica Hart, who graces this year’s Sports Illustrated famed swimsuit issue. The stunner dined at LAVO with boyfriend Nicolas Potts of the band Tamarama, regularly featured on MTV’s The City. Following a romantic dinner, the duo and friends headed to the nightclub where another cute couple was making their affections for each other known.

Katy Perry and Benji Madden arrived at LAVO with a group of 20 for some post-concert celebrating, but the large size of the group did nothing to hide what looks to be a hot new Hollywood coupling. The crew dominated LAVO’s VIP section on the dance floor, just in front of the booth where DJ REACH was spinning. Katy and Benji sat together and chatted closely, occasionally standing up and waving to the crowd with shout outs by REACH. Katy grabbed the microphone and addressed the crowd, telling all “Screw boys, we got girls!” as her hit “I Kissed a Girl” began to play in the background. Despite her instructions to the club goers, Katy clearly only had eyes for Benji.

The two couples met up at one point during the evening and Katy and Jessica chatted and danced together for the crowd.

Also spotted at LAVO was band Plain White T’s, who drank Ketel 1 while being continually surrounded by females searching for a Valentine.

Saturday night at TAO Las Vegas saw a packed house for the club’s Valentine’s Day party hosted by Fredericks of Hollywood. The event featured a fashion show on TAO’S Catwalk of lingerie by Fredericks. Spotted at TAO on Saturday was "Twilight" star Billy Burke who had dinner at TAO Asian Bistro before heading upstairs to the club.

Ever since the horrific news broke out of the Chris Brown and Rihanna tragedy, everyone has been wondering what rap mogul Jay Z has to say.

Jay Z discovered Rihanna in 2004 when he was President of Def Jam and has been her protégé ever since.

Hollyscoop caught up with Jay Z at the Third Annual Two Kings Dinner in Phoenix, Arizona where he was hosting with Basketball star Lebron James during NBA All-Star Weekend.

In response to the reports about Chris Brown allegedly attacking Rihanna, Jay Z said, "This is a real situation. You have to have compassion for others. Just imagine it being your sister or mom and then think about how we should talk about that."

Light Group founder Andrew Sasson is in talks with MGM Mirage to buy the Monte Carlo, a rep for the club mogul confirmed today.

Now, before we get our daipers wrapped too tightly, remember that as a public company, MGM Mirage is required to entertain any and all potential offers as part of their duty to shareholders.

Also, remember that Light Group just got screwed in the botched Harmon construction deal... and probably has some cash lying around they were to pour into that project.

So it’s official… the state turned down hearing about the bill to allow legalized prostitution in Las Vegas. A bill was being drafted but they were informed by the current legislature that the issue won’t be taken up this session. Some are disappointed, some are happy… but I am in the middle.

It’s no secret that Super Bowl Sunday is the biggest sports gambling day of the year. The various sports books in the state of Nevada expect to take in over $90 million in bets! This estimate is slightly down from last years amount of $92 million.

Anybody who visits bustling Las Vegas knows it’s a whirlwind of sensory on steroids overload. You experience smoke-filled rooms and larger-than-life televisions in sparkling high-definition.

As the big game nears, betters wait in anticipation of Sin City’s biggest sports gambling day of the year. While the rest of the nation recently wrapped up its holiday season, Las Vegas sports books are readying themselves for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve all wrapped in one glorious afternoon of hedonism - Super Bowl Sunday.

All that matters is what happens on the field, not what bets are made in Las Vegas. The Pittsburgh Steelers are one touchdown favorites in most betting books, over the surprising Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII. A missed call by the refs or a muffed play by some rookie back-up can mean a swing of millions of dollars either won and lost.

Yes, economic hard times have even affected the usually nonplussed gamblers among us.

The allure of Super Bowl Sunday is not easy to miss. Given the pairing of our national obsession with the NFL and gambling, it makes sense that the two paradymes join forces so nicely on Super Sunday, considered by many a national holiday.

Regardless of how you feel about football or betting in general, this is really big business, and not for the faint of heart.

In Las Vegas, even though the game is often played on the other side of the continent, the Super Bowl draws visitors at a rate comparable to any national event such as New Year’s Eve, the Chinese holidays and college basketball’s March Madness.

What many don’t realize is that the bets are not only made on the final winning team or score but hundreds of variations and even events that don’t transpire between the two football teams.

For example, sports books take bets on which team will win the coin flip, how long it will take Jennifer Hudson to sing the national anthem (with the over-under opening at 1 minute, 55 seconds), which song Bruce Springsteen will begin the halftime show with, and how many different food types broadcaster John Madden will mention during the telecast.
